Selina Ren is a member of the successful Taiwanese girl group S.H.E. The group has participated as main actresses in many popular series and has sung theme songs for the dramas.
S.H.E was formed after a 'Universal 2000 Talent and Beauty Girl Contest' held by HIM International Music in 2000, where Selina was announced the winner. Selina's voice earned her duets with Tank as well as Leehom Wang (你是我心内的一首歌 "You Are The Song Inside My Heart").
On June 11, 2004, she graduated from the National Taiwan Normal University with a Bachelor of Education degree, majoring in Civic Education and Leadership.
Selina admitted to the media that lawyer Richard Chang (张承中) was her boyfriend when Richard proposed to Selina during a S.H.E concert in May 2010. It was announced that the couple will marry in April 2011. However their marriage was postponed because of Selina's schedule.
On 22 October 2010, Selina was injured in an explosive accident while filming the series 'I Have a Date with Spring' (我和春天有个约会) and suffered third degree burns on 54% of her body, mostly her back and legs. Selina left the hospital January 19th and held a press conference, stating she is okay and will be returning to S.H.E.
On 31 Oct 2011, Selina's birthday, she and Richard finally got married.
