Jung Il Woo is a South Korean model and actor. He is the son of a former television news anchorman. Jung made his acting debut in 2006 with a minor role in the thriller "The World of Silence", but he first rose to fame playing a rebellious teen and motorcycle fanatic with a crush on his teacher in daytime family sitcom "Unstoppable High Kick". In August 2006, Jung sustained injuries in a serious car accident while riding with childhood friend and fellow actor Lee Min Ho, who was badly injured in the accident.
In 2011, Il Woo starred in very popular "49 Days" as a scheduler and then starred as rich boy Cha Chi Soo in "Flower Boy Ramen Shop".
His role as Prince Yang Myung in 2012's "The Moon That Embraces the Sun" earned him an MBC Excellence Award. "The Moon That Embraces the Sun" became one of the Top 50 Korean Dramas in viewer ratings, with an average viewership of 45.8%.
